Barbel record, with an impressive 11lb 1oz catch.

The boys take a boat out onto this record water, with the expert

to try and catch a good Rainbow. They use a selection of different

Reservoir in Wales. They have both been given special permission
to fish for these species on this water and indeed are the first
to do so. Though the boys struggle to get a Bream or Roach, Matt
is happy with a personal best Hybrid, which he believes would be
a record breaker if caught in Ireland.

Matt and Mick fish for Perch on the Thames, nr Henly. Their chosen
methods are feeder, float and Spinning. But, though they have a
good start, with lots of small Perch, the sunny weather eventually
defeats them.

They fish over two days, well into the night. They are unsuccessful
with any Zander, but they do catch lots of Pike and Matt picks up
a 2lb Perch.

Chubb and Barbel in great conditions both Mick and Matt had spectacular

in Wales. Tony Davis shows Mick how to fly by night and he is very
pleased when he catches his first 'night time' Sea Trout. Matt is
also impressed, catching a personal best of 4 1/2 lb.
Programme 12

use float and Jerk techniques and Mick demonstrates how to hook
bait. The boys fish well into the night and Mick's hard work eventually
pays off when he lands a Pike in the dark
Programme 14
Matt and Mick fish for Tench and Rudd at Horseshoe Lake in Gloucestershire.
After a very difficult stalking session, Matt's persistence pays
off as he reels in a personal best Rudd, at a very creditable 3lb
2oz very big by today's standards.
Programme 15
A return to the Dorset Stour, this time in the depths of winter
this time in search of Matt and Mick Grayling and Chubb. After a
good bag of Chubb and Pike hopes were failing for a grayling so

rewarded.
