Record Breaking Fish tells the story of two of Britain's best anglers following in the footsteps of some previous record fish. They not only bag some truly monster fish they also break many of their own personal bests to catch some of the biggest fish of their careers.

Programme 1
Matt and Mick fish for Mirror Carp on Monument Lake in Shifnal and Acton Burnell. Mick lands a personal best, with a whopping 44lb 2oz Mirror Carp. This is one of the largest in the lake, with just three carp weighing over 40lb.

Programme 2
Matt and Mick go Barbel Fishing on the Radwell and Sharnbrook stretch of The River Ouse in Buckinghamshire. This is where the current Barbel record of 19lb 6oz was caught. Though Matt and Mick don't manage to go any bigger than this, Mick does break his own personal Barbel record, with an impressive 11lb 1oz catch.

Programme 3
Matt and Mick go Pike fishing at Llandegfedd Reservoir in Wales. The boys take a boat out onto this record water, with the expert guidance of Dave Kelbrick. It was twelve years ago that the record Pike was caught here, weighing in at 46lb 13oz. Will Matt and Mick be able to catch anything of this proportion?

Programme 4
Matt and Mick go Carp Fishing in Acton Burnell nr Shropshire. Here they catch a Common Carp weighing 20lb. Nowhere near the British record of 60lb, but a big one all the same

Programme 5
Matt and Mick fish for Chubb at Throop Fishery in Dorset. After a full days fishing, Matt has been unable to catch any chubb, though he has managed to get a personal best barbell. As it reaches dusk, the boy's hopes are deteriorating, but then, in the final minutes, Mick lands a personal best Chubb.

Programme 6
Matt and Mick meet up with Robbie Winram at Avington Trout Fishery to try and catch a good Rainbow. They use a selection of different flies and are rewarded by catching numerous big trout.

Programme 7
Matt and Mick go coarse fishing for Bream and Roach at Llandegfedd Reservoir in Wales. They have both been given special permission to fish for these species on this water and indeed are the first to do so. Though the boys struggle to get a Bream or Roach, Matt is happy with a personal best Hybrid, which he believes would be a record breaker if caught in Ireland.

Programme 8
Matt and Mick fish for Perch on the Thames, nr Henly. Their chosen methods are feeder, float and Spinning. But, though they have a good start, with lots of small Perch, the sunny weather eventually defeats them.

Programme 9
Matt and Mick go jerk fishing for Zander and Perch at Grafham Reservoir. They fish over two days, well into the night. They are unsuccessful with any Zander, but they do catch lots of Pike and Matt picks up a 2lb Perch.

Programme 10
The river Stour in Dorset is the venue for an autumnal hunt for Chubb and Barbel in great conditions both Mick and Matt had spectacular success - both catching some magnificent fish - a great day's fishing.

Programme 11
Matt and Mick go night fishing for Sea Trout on The River Towey in Wales. Tony Davis shows Mick how to fly by night and he is very pleased when he catches his first 'night time' Sea Trout. Matt is also impressed, catching a personal best of 4 1/2 lb.

Programme 12
Matt and Mick fish for Crucian Carp at the Summer Pitt in Yately. Matt opts for the pole fishing technique and Mick tries float fishing. Mick's technique was the better on the day, as he catches a personal best, weighing in at 3lb 1.5oz

Programme 13
Matt and Mick go after River Pike, fishing on the River Wye. They use float and Jerk techniques and Mick demonstrates how to hook bait. The boys fish well into the night and Mick's hard work eventually pays off when he lands a Pike in the dark

Programme 14
Matt and Mick fish for Tench and Rudd at Horseshoe Lake in Gloucestershire. After a very difficult stalking session, Matt's persistence pays off as he reels in a personal best Rudd, at a very creditable 3lb 2oz very big by today's standards.

Programme 15
A return to the Dorset Stour, this time in the depths of winter this time in search of Matt and Mick Grayling and Chubb. After a good bag of Chubb and Pike hopes were failing for a grayling so a shift across country to the River Test saw their patience finally rewarded.
