Mark Evans from
hit television programs such as 'A Car Is Born', 'A
Car Is Reborn', 'A Plane Is Born' and 'A Chopper Is
Born' builds his very own Westfield 1800 racing car.
He then competes in various different types of motorsport
events - from Auto Testing in Hatfield to Circuit Racing
in Croix en Ternois France, changing the car for the
diverse events along the way. He shows the viewers just
how easy it is to obtain a racing licence and how to
find an area of club motorsport to enjoy.
Ian Forrest appears
as our race driving expert to evaluate 10 different
race-cars at Knockhill Race circuit from historic racers
to a top of the range touring car The Ferrari Modena.
The series, which contains 15 episodes, was first aired
on Discovery Home & Leisure in October 2002.
The Westfield 1800
used in the series is a Ford Zetec powered car with
independent rear suspension. Built as a road car, it
is adapted for each of the different areas of motor
sport Mark competes in. The climax of the series sees
Mark competing in the Westfield Series Championship
at a circuit in Northern France.
