Keith Duddy
MD & Series Producer
Keith's roots are firmly based in comedy - after a series
of jobs that ranged from Chef to Narrow Boat Restorer and
Community worker he became an award winning writer and producer
developing a number of shows for both the Edinburgh Festival
and the Fringe Theatre Circuit.
In 1989 he was involved in the setting up of the XXXX Comedy
clubs which for four years were the largest chain of clubs
outside London.
The Birmingham Comedy Festival, as the company became, organised
large scale comedy events as well as running a talent agency
for up and coming comedians. Among the talent that the company
represented and nurtured were Frank Skinner, Caroline Aherne
(The Royle Family) and Alan Davis now to be seen as Jonathon
Creek.
For the last ten years Keith has been working in television
starting with Mentorn Films (now MBC) where he began as researcher
working on Centrals' arts programme FIRST NIGHT.
Keith also created lifestyle inserts for GOOD MORNING WITH
ANNE & NICK (BBC1) before moving on to help develop other
projects for the company including the quiz show - HIT THE
TOWN - hosted by Rory McGrath - for which he wrote 36 episodes
as Assistant Producer.
