It's your Bid first aired in 1998 as a 15 part series for Discovery Home & Leisure,
presented by Judith Miller, that aimed to help the novice antique enthusiast develop the confidence to successfully
take part in an auction.
Many people have at
some point in their lives visited an auction but surrounded
by lots of people, all who seem to know more than you do,
auctions can become intimidating places. People genuinely
worry that an inappropriate sneeze or even a scratch of the
nose will result in them going home with an unwanted elks
head or set of dining chairs.

the shape of antiques expert Judith Miller. Each week
the programme visits a different salesroom and with
the help of the auctioneers, Judith provides some good
advice for the auction novice while at the same time
discovering some of the tricks of the trade from both
buyers and sellers.
